  1. I drive through Newtown everyday and there are memorials everywhere, still, of the children who were murdered. 26 lights, 26 angels, 26 trees, signs, posters, etc. If it did happen close to home and If they had a quarter ounce of compassion in the nerveless gray plasma encased in a nutshell, then they would agree that change needs to occur. But, Tennessee, Arkansas, or wherever they are is too far to be close to home, so they utter and sputter all sorts of nonsense for our entertainment. Ignoring the fact that guns lead to death. It is such a simple, simple concept. No argument, yet they try to tie every issue they can think of to it.
  2. There are reasons for us to tolerate cars and car wrecks, but it is a great example. All cars have to be registered. All drivers have to be licensed. There are times when you have to lose your license. In areas where the use of cars is discouraged (NYC, high parking and bridge tolls), the vehicular death rate is low even though that wasn't the intended goal. Less congestion was the goal. Cars provide transportation. There are economic benefits to transportation. What are the reasons to tolerate gun accidents? Because people need a gun like a pacifier to protect them from their fears? I will give you that, but I suggest that you probably need psychological help if you are fearful. A gun, then, is a mask for other issues. Guns should be registered, and gun owners should be licensed too. There are times when you have to lose your gun license and right to own a gun.
  3. Tams, Guns don't kill people, gun shows kill people.
  4. Show me that when there are no guns that the homicide rate stays the same.Show me that when there are no guns the accidental death stays the same. You can't A gun is an inanimate object but it is used to kill people. Most of the people killed with guns are not bad guys either and the good guys that get shot are not shot by bad guys with guns. Or, they weren't bad guys until they shot the good guys.
  5. Main Use A Shooting Squirrels B Shooting People
  6. Better security such as better doors is a no brainer. I completely agree with you. Guns in schools? for what? to protect children from lunatics who have rights to have guns? Wouldn't it make more sense to take the guns away from lunatics so that we don't need guns in schools? Doesn't that make more sense than arming everyone to protect people from people who have rights to have guns? Is that naive? Urban schools have armed guards because children in those schools have guns. There are serious drug trade issues in urban schools. The guns are not there to protect the kids from lunatic suicidal intruders who are carrying legally purchased weapons. Arming school faculty with weapons creates another statistic: accidental school shootings, faculty who go nuts, and who knows what other stat. All so that a lunatic can remain free to have a gun? I do not know the names of the people you mention, other than Obama, and therefore do not know what their opinions are and am not having anything rammed down my throat by anyone. I do notice lots of others who seem to be NRA soldiers and advocates for the gun industry, whose sole purpose is to maintain a society where their products can be sold. I can show you all the stats you want about less guns leading to less gun homicide and an overall lower homicide rate, when you hold everything constant. The variable is drugs and the drug trade. There is no paradox to the numbers. More guns = more death across the board.
  7. I think Lance will be recorded in athletic history as the greatest liar and cheater ever, even though he may not deserve the title. It makes me wonder, actually frightens me, about who will ever surpass Bernie Madoff in the world of financial fraud. Someone someday will.
  8. People who overuse emoticons should also not be allowed to get married. You guys have convinced me to change sides. I too agree that church and state should be separate and I am for freedom of religion as long as everyone is christian. I too feel that we should be allowed to pray in school and that creationism should be taught in science even though it is theology and not a science. My favorite radio talk show host told me it is the right thing. I too will fail to see the similarities between my beliefs and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's beliefs I too am for entitlement reform as long as they don't take anything away that I am getting because I am American and pay taxes and I have earned the right to deserve them. I too am for small government as long as we continue to support a large military, as long as we continue to fight a losing war on drugs and as long as we patrol our borders I too believe that the president should bring his birth certificate to every event so that everyone can see where he was born because he is a communist socialist facist nazi and I don't trust him I too believe that the people have rights and freedoms as long as they are not gay and as long as we ban abortion I too will use statistics combined with inflammatory remarks without knowing what I am talking about.
  9. The man is the man in the moon. Or, he is flying over the bridge
  10. Patuca, Don't go. I appreciate your intellectual irresponsibility. Your comments are a lesson to all of the crippling power of pride.
  11. There isn't a need for a stop if there is nothing to lose. There is nothing to lose by waiting.
  12. That sounds like uncle to me. Let's give it a few more days.
  13. The Adam Lanza kid had an IQ that was off the charts He wasn't poor He seemed to be lean and able to eat a balanced diet. He attended college at 16. Likely to be able to point out countries and cities. Unfortunately, he would be able to have a gun based on your criteria. I do like the spirit of your idea.
  14. He missed, forgetting to include, the multi-billion dollar public and private corporations that government grants monopoly power to at a cost to consumer and tax payer. The top has a much bigger impact on the middle than the bottom. Taxes are high, because the cost of things are high. The cost of things are high, because prices are manipulated to be high. I need time off.
  15. It is funny to me how they compare Hitler, a NAZI, to someone, Obama, who is generally considered to be a Socialist. It is also funny to me how they criticize him for pushing us toward socialism, yet they want and use all the benefits that he is providing.
  16. He was inside a wheel? As in he rolled across the bridge. Getting desperate
  17. You should kiss his scum for funding you. Your state couldn't cut it on its own.
  18. There was no gun ban then, why didn't they shoot their way free?
  19. They can start by saying NO to federal funding. In fact, all the conservative states should start protesting by saying NO to federal funding. Bunch of hypocrites who take more money than they give. Sounds to me like your state is all for socialism. Bunch of hypocrites. Again, you can thank states like me for your existence or you wouldn't be able to live such a comfortable life. Yes, your state takes more money than it pays in federal taxes. Look it up. I am sure you'll be happy to know you are a taker. And, you should kiss Obama's ass for your existence. I would like to see the day that your state gives it back! Make me laugh. Its called Red Socialism. Yes AWESOME!
  20. My response is juvenile? A good trader in a bad year losses less than a bad trader in a bad year. A good trader in a good year makes more than a bad trader in a good year. A good trader has more good years than a bad trader. 30% of 5000 doesn't even cover property tax in some parts of the world. There is not one word of that which is untrue or bullying. I will translate it for you in long form to help you understand since you didn't understand the first time: You will have good years and bad years as a trader no matter how good you are. A good trader will tend to have more good years than bad years. A good trader will also have better good years than a bad trader. A bad trader will have deeper bad years than a good trader's bad years. whether it is 6%, 10% or 500% what matters is if you can make enough money and not so much the percentage return. I then followed up with : A mistake is not always a losing trade and a losing trading is not always a mistake. Learning is not making sure that you don't take the same loss as you did last trade. You won't learn anything. Really important to understand that. My advice is, of course, just my opinion and from the heart and I don't sell it on a website and I don't trade sim. You do not have to agree with me. You can post your own opinion if you have one instead of coming out making accusations that you cannot back up. Patuca and I are no different than the kids that a teacher needs to keep separate in class. You are mistakenly jumping aboard a band wagon with no wheels. One day I may be glad he has a gun. I did make the mistake of calling you Edgar. My apologies to Edgar. But, please share how your posts to Edgar gave him any advice. You did confirm that you sell and that word gets around about how good you are, but I didn't see anything that seemed like a response, good or bad, to his question. Would you mind pointing it out?
  21. No not yet. This is one of those ridiculously obvious riddles that is right under your nose. Don't give the answer.
  22. selling insurance and reinsurance is a trade isn't it? Same thing, almost as options.
  23. Well, gosh, Edgar, can you point out one single instance that I bullied someone enjoying success or reaching out to help? Just one. You might mean that I ask questions of vendors that they can't answer and it messes up the sales pipeline. If that is what you mean, then I am probably guilty but it isn't intentional since if you could answer the question, it wouldn't mess up the pipeline.
  24. That's a great age to start. A mistake is not always a losing trade and a losing trading is not always a mistake. Learning is not making sure that you don't take the same loss as you did last trade. You won't learn anything. Really important to understand that. Don't mind Patuca. He's one of those liberals who wants to see everyone with a gun. We'll see if he actually uses his guns when I knock his motorcycle over.
