Hi All, In my opinion I think it’s just another way to Enlightenment. What is Enlightenment? It’s a state of total consciousness being one with the planet, humanity and all kingdoms. You really cannot explain what it is, there are no words that will describe it, you have to go through the experience to understand it, I do not even know if I have felt it or understood it. I think that trading is just another way to Enlightenment; it’s a way to understanding your inner-self especially the two most important emotions that are constantly present in our society. FEAR and GREED are the main emotions that are ruling this world. All you have to do is watch the television or read the newspaper, its all based on Fear. When you first start to trade it feels like a 1000 Watt projector is always on you, every trade you take either winner or loser, you feel like on top of the world and can accomplish anything until you get a loser and it feels like you miserably failed and are not worthy of anything, and you feel depressed. Gradually and slowly by coming to terms with your emotions and skeletons in the closet you success rate increases for some people this takes a long time and for some others they learn it very quickly, everyone is different. I think Persistence is the key; you must persist and continue looking at your inner-self until you understand yourself. Hence the saying “Man Know thyself". A lot of successful traders that I have been in contact over the past few years had one thing in common they understood how fear and greed works and they could exploit that by trading in the markets. Some of these traders had such esoteric trading systems that there are no words to describe it and they knew far more because they had this drive to search and continue searching for the truth even after they made their money. Most of them now do Yoga, Meditate and other forms of new age stuff on a daily basis to be balanced and be in control of those two primary emotions. When you trade you are always learning new things it's a never ending school room just the same way in real life, new situations and challenges arise in your life’s everyday and you have a choice on how to act out that situation either good or bad, remember those cartoons in the olden days where you had a angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other telling you what to do in a situation, the person in the cartoon most of the time took the devils advice and had to pay later for that action. I guess what goes around comes around. Just a few of my thoughts about the psychology of trading. Thanks for reading. Happy Trading Regards Simon

Hi Hlm, Thanks for your detailed feedback. I was thinking about giving the user the option of entering their own urls, and yes saving it to a small text file what be good. Also notice that when the page refreshes it goes back to the position where it was before, not like internet explorer where it goes all the way to the top, so I think that is a big plus. Next time I have some free hours I will make something better and work with some of your suggestions. My next little project will be using dukascopy free stuff in the same manner, but with more options because they have a lot to offer for the forex trader, but that's another new thread. Hello Everyone, Here is an Market Calendar application that I developed this afternoon, please use it for your trading needs and it has a lot of features like opacity so you can see it at the same time as your charting software you can also set it to automatically refresh every xxx minutes or seconds. I have attached a few screenshots of it in action. Installation is very simple just place all three files into a directory and create a shortcut to the desktop. Right-Click on the running clocks to see the context-menu, I think this application is very user friendly so no need for manuals. I do not take any responsibility if it does not work on your computer or if it does something else. I have tested it on my Vista machine works great. Hi Marsupilami, Looks like all OTC brokers are playing with their customers. For the last four weeks I have been played by Oanda, with regards to orders being filled at the wrong time, constant disconnection time, etc... So I decided it is not even worth doing with OTC Forex, I now trade the Globex and are happy with that decision. Maybe you should consider trading Globex? Regards Simon

Hi Marsupilami, Two years ago I enquired in opening a live account with Baxter, the rep first name Alvin mentioned to me that there was a 1pip spread on all major pairs, then a week later he emailed me, that they have been reduced to 1/2pip. So I am not sure if he was for real or not. The platform to my memory was programmed in Marcomedia Shockwave. Another place that have tight spreads and commission based is dukascopy.com minimum is 50K US, I do not know much about them. Regards Simon

When my Toshiba Qosmio died, I bought a new Sony machine from the local shop here in Poland, it had Windows Vista home premium edition preinstalled on it. Everything that I ever new about XP was upside down, back to front with this new OS. So I installed another product where now I can ran multiple machines on the same machine, I now have Vista installed on the primary and XP installed on my virtual machine, which works great, easy to backup and network. Hi Brownsfan019, I once demoed GFT myself even went to the Sydney Head Office and discussed this with them. Yes it all looked great but like all OTC FX players they do not like to lose money. In other words they will make if very difficult for you to win with them. I did a chart comparison with GFT during news time to see if they play with their signals, and yes they did, there was a delay for at least 2 seconds before releasing it in the correct direction. Have a look at this site http://www.forexbastards.com for some more interesting reviews about OTC Forex brokers (GFT). Now I will tell you about my experience with Oanda that just happend recently (2 weeks ago). I started dummy trading with Oandas software, I used a different free forex charting software for my charting as the one that comes wth Oanda is cr**. Any way I was consistently making money, I made 8k in less than 2 weeks on 5 Lots per trade in and out of the market on dummy money. I started to notice strange things happening with my broker software after I made my first 2k with them. Sudden disconnection problems and constant. Their built in charting software flatlining. Major Delays getting filled (Manual Execution) And other tricks that they use. But once the trade is in their favour everything worked nicely until the profit started to increase on my side. I even compared this with another computer that was logged in to the same Oandas system (different account), just to make sure there was no problems with my internet connection on my end could not find any. I personally do not trust OTC Forex brokers. At the end I decided to trade http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/fx/index.html these instruments and have not experienced any of the above problems. Hello Everyone, Here is my comments about Investor RT platform. I have been an Ensign user for the last 12 months, at the start the software was great but soon ran into problems, as you get more proficient with the software you soon find out that you have outgrown it, mostly because of software limitations in relation to user expectations. That is when I decided to try Investor RT. I have chosen the Interactive Brokers with DTN data back fill option, it worked out around $30 more per month. I had asked Chad to help me set up the software he did it promptly and efficiently. I would have to say that I was quite a demanding customer and I had a lot of questions and queries. Not only did he get back to me answering all my questions but did so over the weekend. The software has a lot more features and is very versatile, the quality of the charts are much more better and clearer. I must say I am very impressed with this piece of software and highly recommend it to any serious traders out there. Regards Simon
