Hello sdoma, thanks for your post. Do you have a special method for getting in at the levels you described ( VSA, volume or anything the like) ? Where would you have gotten in in that cable trade ? Regards, Mars
-
Thanks for the info, gooni ! Very interesting market, indeed ! I have traded the Kospi options through a Korean broker before...(in sim mode)....liquidity was out of this world, an absolutely amazing market ! :missy:

Daytrading - Big Picture/Volume Analysis
Marsupilami replied to EMC2Trader's topic in Technical Analysis
Hello EMC2, making anything in the range of 300 points/ 1 ES per month puts you in the league of the best traders on this globe, this is what I'm saying. Even if your posted "potential trades" are just that, i.e. theoretically possible trade setups, your methods would still be unbelievably good. I'm sure there are enough traders who would find ways to take every possible trade according to your method, even if that meant that they would have to get a divorce, live on delivered Pizza and find a medical solution to prevent having to go the bathroom during trading hours. With these kind of results possible...heck, I think I would do it, too. Unfortunately, all this seems to good to be true. There are so many vendors with time stamped trades posted on their websites showing good results which are not that great once you look closer, so your "track record" does not necessarily improve your credibility imho. That's just the way it is. I'm very sceptical about the track record, yes. Like you say, one has to do their DD, and this cannot be achieved by looking at your website alone. I will admit, listing every trade is much better than only showing one trade of the day that went really well, but in the end, even a detailed track record isn't worth much if there is no proof. This can only come through reputable satisfied customers or through posting trades live in a room with clear entries and exits for some time. -

Marsupilami replied to EMC2Trader's topic in Technical Analysis
Like I mentioned earlier in this thread...with those kind of results, EMC2 should be in control of the ES...if not the entire US stock market. No need to come to both ET and Traders Lab and try to start a discussion on "BIG Picture Volume Analysis" or what it's called, because if you can get those results, you have really cracked the code of the markets, there isn't left anything more to discuss, period. Now, if EMC2 comes on here and posts his trades in the chat room in real time for two weeks at minimum and continues to achieve those kind of results, I'm a buyer . My guess is though that he will not even show up for one single day. :o -
Hello 156, how did you manage to get Kospi data through Metatrader ? Which broker do you use for Metatrader ? Thanks in advance ! Mars

Daytrading - Big Picture/Volume Analysis
Marsupilami replied to EMC2Trader's topic in Technical Analysis
Hello EMC2Trader, thanks for the reply. I was simply amazed by you track record. You do have losing trades, as one can obviously see, but the monthly results mentioned, which hover around 200 points in the ES a month ( from the back of my head) make most other traders' results look quite pale. Of course, this thread is not supposed to be about your course, as you state, so I don't want to get into this much further. -

Hello ztrader, yes, he has his own room now with quite some members. I stopped by the other day just to take a look for maybe 1h...stopped by another day, typed in a imho completely harmless question to the room and got booted. Very funny, this guy. -
Daytrading - Big Picture/Volume Analysis
Marsupilami replied to EMC2Trader's topic in Technical Analysis
Hello EMC2Trader, I have read your thread on ET, and frankly, I must say, I find your approach of looking at the market quite confusing. Although I'm by no means an expert at interpreting volume, the things I have read about VSA so far made much more sense to me than your concept of anxious and patient sellers/buyers etc. Since there are a lot of knowledgeable members on TL, I'll leave it to them to discuss this concept. I have also googled your website, seen the daily statements. Why don't you spend one or two days with some members in the chat room and discuss trades as they unfold, posting your entries and exits. You will have to admit, these results are hard to believe ...10 points here, 18 there etc. You should be in control of the CME pretty soon, if you aren't already. Regards, Marsupilami -
Hello Szymon, I have traded CME currency futures before and agree with you about the advantages. It's also a lot easier since you only need one account for trading index futures and currencies, spreads are usually very tight, and it's regulated. Then only problem is that some cross rates are not available...I like to trade the EUR/JPY, GBP/JPY from time to time. Actually, trading on ECNs like Hotspot and Currenex should be ok, too....I was just surprised that Baxter supposedly offers half pip spreads because even on bigger ECN platforms a one pip spread is the norm only in EUR/USD...at least last time I checked. Regards, Mars
-
Hello Szymon, I think I'll contact Baxter when I have time...with regard to Dukascopy - I have seen their platform and talked to several people who trade through them. Spreads appear to be tight, but some say that Duskopy is filling your orders to their advantage ("slippage") so in the end, you do pay more than just a pip spread, but I'm not a customer so I cannot confirm that. Besides that, I just would not go with a Swiss broker ...there is not much regulation in Switzerland and this country is full of shady fx brokers ( not speaking about the big banks here, of course).
-
Hello Szymon, where and when did you hear about the half pip spreads? Could it be a misunderstanding ? Thanks.
-
Their website says the following: "Our order book is supplied with streaming quotes from four major FX banks in 55 currency pairs 24X5. Streaming depth of market is between 3 and 20 million from each market maker. Spreads are discretionary but in general multibank competition creates 1-2 ticks on Majors and Euro Crosses."
-
1/2 pip spread on all majors ? Are you sure ? I find this hard to believe...have watched Currenex and Hotspot feeds and never saw spreads as tight as a 1/2 pip. Times must have changed, I guess !?
-
Hi jthanki, thanks for the info. Do you find that Bill is able to teach his setups/methodology well so that one could reproduce his trades after practicing ? I have often heard that while he is a good trader, his style of trading is quite discretionary and hence it is hard to become a profitable trader by following him. Thanks.
-
Darn.... Thanks for the info, Tasuki. I realized that he also runs the website Profiltraders on which he mentions a live trading room...it says no free trials but a fee of 25 USD for a day. That is not too cheap considering that one day does not suffice to get an impression of his trading, teaching and his methods. The life time fee for the membership seems acceptable if you look at JPJ for example...IOAMT is much more expensive. Yes, I agree, a video of the webinar would be nice.
-
Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the webinar ( bad timezone ). Could anyone post his impression of the webinar and its presenter ? Thanks in advance !
-
I have just registered for the free class. Does anyone know who is behind this website ? No names are given, which I find a bit odd.
-
Troutboy, are you currently in his room ? I have exchanged emails with the T-Waves guy a while ago in '07 and he showed me a "paste and copy" version of his activities in the room...I don't know how he manages to trade so many different vehicles, i.e. stocks, options and futures at a time.

The Trading Zone Review
Marsupilami replied to Maverick0325's topic in Trading Products and Services
TheTradingZone does not grant unlimited free access - you are allowed to enter the room a couple of times, and after that you are banned without warning. It happened to me after 5-6 visits. -
Brownsfan, I agree that it would be nice to see verifiable proof by a vendor...but - have you ever seen one single vendor show his account statements to the public ? I must say I haven't. Regarding the down spike - yup, if one is a good trader, these are the moments...a trading buddy of mine went long heavily from 1500 and kept on adding on the way down - I guess I would have goofed up, too somewhere on the way down :embarassed:.
-
So your buddy forked over 7k and quit after one month ? I have heard from two members who are happy with the method. And no, they didn't try to convince me to join the Zoo .:o I know that there are long bashing threads on ET and Mypivots.com. But - if I had to guess, I'd say that 95% of the posters never even once entered the room, and then there are those who expect the holy grail and will always be disappointed. There is a "whole lotta scamming" going on in the trading scene, no doubt about it, but one also has to be aware that there are perhaps as many posters who are on a mission to bash as there are shills on the internet. BTW - nice spike there on the ES. Thank God I'm only a sim trader :haha:
-
Yes, that is true, and it happens quite often...but I really do not believe that this was the case.
