  1. SIUYA, It’s not side tracking at all. If you check back through MM's posts you will find a lot of references to him and his family being sufficiently "protected" without the risk of guns. Some of them allude to protection via 'god'. “My family is protected when I am there or not” is just the latest example. That verse states an equivalent sentiment. My use of the verse was respecting and honoring all our faith in protection... protection that I pray 'god' does extend to his family… to all our families. I was also saying that in "addition" to that sentiment, these 'suddenly' events also require personal responsibility which includes matching firepower +training+ preparation… all these are acts of love. In earlier times, application of all them was painfully obvious… now the forces of modern urbanization, etc. have obfuscated and clouded all of them… people walking right on by stabbing victims on the street without even calling 911, etc. Through a series of posts, MM, representing the To Disarms, represented to just be relying on the first act of love ---minus obtaining matching firepower minus training and preparation. (I’ll add another + to the ‘equation’ now…) + in many cases to Disarms carry a delusional ‘hope’ they will be able to ‘reason’ with criminal insanity. Get it yet? At one time that particular verse had sort of passed outside the exclusive auspices of bible thumping christians into ‘general’ collective knowledge. Looks like that time has passed now …information explosion… internet…yada yada… it was probably supplanted by a collective fascination with Kim Kard.’s big fat ass…or "I'll be back"… It was also interesting how the use of a verse from the bible triggered a small, strange round of “God and guns”, etc. stereotyping. SunTwist associated that reference to pro-lifers and pro death penalty positions … stereotyping often says more about the 'typer' than it does the 'typee'… Seeing how far off wrong some of the projections have been on me in this thread is, if nothing else, teaching me that my ‘stereotyping’ thoughts also probably have low accuracy and should be dropped … fwiw, I’m pro death. I think both the mother and the father should have the authority to abort a child up until it is 25 years old. … However, I do have some issues with being forced to pay … a ‘clinic’ to kill some one else’s child … and re the death penalty – I’m strictly, old school sharia law and nothing else baby. Well maybe throw in a bit of Japanee and routinely offer the convicted one the opportunity to execute himself with a curved blade… Seriously now - in only very rare cases could I see myself voting as a jurist to execute… current structures are just too kind to over or under or mis use of the death penalty process. At the same time, I do understand why societies, especially smaller ones, retain the death penalty option… (oh sht, more fkn ‘cabin theory’ :rofl: ) …some rather confusing, unresolved paradoxes arising from our ‘modern’ pushes to kill the ‘relatively innocent’ … and save the ‘relatively guilty’… ...SIUYA, I can’t remember the particulars but one of your other posts from some time back calls for a reply. Been busy...Will see if I can dig it up… zdo
  2. Shoulder fired rockets are now legacy weapons. It's drones and robots now ... less less guns is an allopathic solution... I believe allopathy is in the process of running its course re "tearful plea" trot out In an open letter to Obama in response to the latter’s exploitation of Newtown to advance an attack on our right to bear arms, Columbine survivor Evan Todd asks a very good question: “Whose side are you on?”
  3. You're still busy 'twisting' ... Every post I have made in this thread is about dealing with NON "innocence"... What would YOU do when faced with clockwork like armed attackers threatening harm or death to you and your loved ones? If you had it, would you’ use’ a gun? Or would you run and leave your family behind? Or, die on your knees begging for mercy (while waiting for the cops)? It’s a very simple gun control question
  4. and twist the scenarios that you must represent to yourself any way you like.. from limb to limb… from six ways to wednesdy… from what if this…? to what if that…? twist them any way your imagination will let you. Any way you twist these inner scenarios though - with an available weapon you have more options… not necessarily pretty options or what under normal circumstances would be considered desirable options - But, the better armed you are, the MORE options you have. The more prepared you are, the MORE options you have. In such “suddenly” life and death events, MORE options do matter Edward Everett Hale It is actually your own inner flawed bible/screenplay, bub. In reality you simply do not have enough knowledge or exposure to me, the man, to know my scripts It not quite worth it to try and guess what "flawed bible/screenplay" you're talking about or where you are getting this stuff... Still - Project all the shadowy sht you can on me ... it will ultimately help you heal. just yours? no one else's family is protected when they are "there or not" ?... you've attempted to put yourself in a position to determine who should be allowed to have arms. now you're attempting to put yourself in a position to decide which families 'god' protects. ? are you really qualified ? In gratitude that you and your family are "protected" - at that level, In sadness that you and your family are not "protected" at the level where your physical role and preparation for "suddenly" is concerned, You think you're "there". You're not. You've obviously got a long training and experiential ordeal ahead of you to a place where an almost imperceptible but authentic shift happens inside where you start to protect your would-be assailant from the imminent jeopardy he faces with his violent intents. All the best, zdo
  5. Typical scenario twisting... instead of answering the question. I keep the faith that you and others have secretly and simply answered it for yourself. Your memory is short... I've told you several times now guns do not make me "feel good" at all... explosions, controlled or not, huge or micro, are aversive to me, etc etc etc. More accurately - a gun doesn't really provide the security that you hoped I hoped for ... check your projections. My "protection" does come at a very large cost. You and yours have no "protection" at all. I have a stop placed. You don't. ...wishing whatever god you settle on blesses you and yours with no such sudden instants all the best, zdo
  6. Gun grabbers love to use skewed statistics and false assumptions to draw 2nd Amendment advocates into irrelevant tangents and muddle the bottom line. In the end, there is only one question that needs to be asked and answered: What would YOU do when faced with clockwork like armed attackers threatening harm or death to you and your loved ones? If you had it, would you’ use’ a gun? Or would you run and leave your family behind? Or, die on your knees begging for mercy (while waiting for the cops, if you got the chance to dial out)? It’s a very simple gun control question I think only paid government trolls and syncopaths in a state of obedient slumber that is not sleep would argue that firearms are not worth the risks in such “suddenly” events... In real events ( not in statistical studies, or in theories about prisoners, or... ) any HONEST gun control activist with any capacity for valour at all would at least have the sense to admit that they would want the best possible protection for themselves and their family – which, in such situations, is a gun - and for multiple attackers, would be a high capacity semi-automatics... (like the gun grabbing senator’s body guards carry...) You, individually, cannot legally take guns from other persons that you have decided should not have guns. You, as a vigilante, won’t get very far in identifying other persons that you have decided should not have guns, nor in ‘prosecuting’ your (morally sound) private confiscations. You cannot realistically depend on an increasingly insane and dysfunctional government to come anywhere close to adequately taking the guns from people that you would determine should not have guns. Folks, your best options – until the real, current world we live in is outlier free – go To Arm
  7. Change gods if you need… that’s btwn you and god… To Arm is additive … Psalm 23:4, etc. PLUS+ matching lethality PLUS individual responsibility… to Disarm is ‘subtractive’ … Psalm 23:4 minus- …. minus- … minus-
  8. Be very careful what you are saying … :haha: If I go to a psychiatrist, he will most likely prescribe one of the meds which trigger violent and suicidal ideation in a percentage of the patients who take it … plus I already have guns – legal and illegal…( that I currently hope I don't need... but have the god given right to if I do need them... ) but under the influence of those drugs... like a large group of the triggering lanza of the last two decades have been... You better steer it back to taking guns bud… you’re getting dangerously ::n(lanza)topic: We don’t want to push to quickly while you’re working through your PTSD
  9. I agree.... but Neither field is level... and the issue I'm having is that some of us are trying to portray the 'slopes' of the FX field to be MUCH steeper than the fairer 'slopes' of the Futures field. That's really not the case. The FX field is generally slightly steeper for the whole population. But, for individual traders (because of ALL the differences in stuff between and below the ears, etc etc. etc.) FX may actually present less "unfairness" [snic]. Also, any very small beginning trader (who is not specializing on volume and order flow 'stuff') who commits to trying out for this game would be much better off starting with an OAND@ account instead of a barely one day margin futures account - which is way too small... ie how much capital you can allocate (and risk, etc). and then what you do with it are MUCH BIGGER field levelers than which exchange or instrument or whatever one is using.
  10. MM, think and peel back some layers in those stats, (unlike StunGun who can only muster derisive ) Most gun murders are from perp on perp, or repeat offender on family (hurt to death that one last time), or... etc. – and both parties are likely to ‘own’ the guns… big stat warper – you’re conveniently lumping the normals in where they don’t belong. Those with degrees in lying via statistics have a word for this... Big whoop. Lies, dam lies, and statistics You are 2.7 times more likely to die financially if you have a leveraged trading account than if you don't have a leveraged trading account. Oddly, your security comes at a cost; an increased chance of financial death. Yet here we all are .... ~80,000 up here on TL, etc etc ... dangerous accts freaking everywhere...all over the world...all lumped together... Let's co-track your logic. If those "leveraged trading accounts " cause all those financial deaths - and not the account holders - what we need to do is legally reduce the number of these lethal leveraged trading accounts and there will certainly be fewer financial deaths ... lies, dam lies, and statistics have a use. Truth is not part of it. It's sad to see a 'wounded rescuer' like you sink to ... Hell yeh it’s probably a lie. Maybe it’s a dam lie. Possibly, it’s even a statistic. Whack the fk away at it all you want… I couldn’t care less... bcse Personally, I’m good as long as the ‘real’ stat is remains greaterthan/or/equal to “Every year, guns are used over 1.618x more often to protect a life than to take one! ” … weethart, you got some serious statistical “analysis”/disparaging to do to move this stat from 80x to below 1.618x ;}
  11. sbfx, good post. I am a futures trader... but re: yes. another example - I happened across an 'indicator' that correlates + at 90% + with real volume ... and it has not a fkn thing to do with volume... plus,as you mentioned in one of the other #s, since FX and futures directionally track so well at tick level, one can use futures feed and trade FX if needed an additional point for some to consider... if you may potentially be holding a contract for months, FX is definitely superior cost wise to near month futures ...no rollover costs ...and is often even better than far out futures... bcse no 'far out' illiquidity slips if you do need to exit early. another point - it is possible to more than cover all your FX sprd expenses with interest income. example: I use cycles work to progressively build/scale up short positions in USD/INR ... size of each transaction geometrically larger than previous one... Long TRY/JPY works almost as well... and also has low corre. with the USD/INR Forget about it... ie your deposits are NOT safe period ie your money is no safer at an FCM than it is with an FX house Bottom line - Each trader should find and use the best instruments for his or her own needs - methods, sizing, holding periods, costs, etc AND each trader should study this area enough to be able to avail himself of any benefits of each type of instrument across all 'exchanges' if needed all the best, zdo
  12. MM, you’re the only to Disarm poster in here who thinks. All the rest of the gun grabbers are just minions parroting the memes, or are just going ad hominem, etc. etc. You think about how to leverage your statistics and how to discredit any other statistics. You think about ways to infer from your lies, dam lies, and statistics how many males we might save and what we might achieve if, essentially, we somehow had “fewer” guns. You think about how to take our weapons without appearing to take our weapons… attempting to snuff our rights to self defense parity while denying it etc. ( :helloooo: ...and even though you 'think' - we even have to consider that you want to take our weapons... but you don't believe you want to take our weapons. whoa! what ?) …You have said how wonderful “one less gun ”might be many, many times over... But one more gun might make a difference. Every year, guns are used over 80x more often to protect a life than to take one!
  13. Yes we must protect our males. They are the very core reason of this whole thread – even though it was ‘suddenly’ set off by a madman who killed children … omg. and…it’s ironic that in your community you still walk around with “no fear”… your own words. We might suspect that you’re so mighty you carry a cop around with you to respond to any threats … who needs a gun when you can carry a cop? Oh - you can’t carry a cop ?! sht boy, if we can’t control them guns everywhere, your ass is homicided grass. “…in prison than not in prison.” Still working these ungrounded, unrealistic ‘cabin’ theories to explain things? Sounds like you're pulling another sneaky “guns cause criminals” … or one of your other dreamlike causes for the murders. Quickly now! Deny it.
  14. In the running… “Sir, you can see it!? Show us. I still don’t see what’s left of my grandparents’ America - even through this magnifying glass” “Little girl, I need you to loan me another trillion.” “But, mr. presmident, we don’t want to be your human shield anymore!”
  15. Larry1234, As early in the thread as possible Could you explain just a little bit more about how you are defining and using: Fundamental Valuation Relative valuation Discounted Cash Flow valuation Intrinsic value Thanks.
  16. mous, That's not very good job of refuting what was admitted to be "lies, dam lies, and statistics"... For one, I'm wasn't "pressed" at all to make points about UK US comparisons. No attempts were even made to "split hairs" or get into those ever crucial "reporting periods", etc. Again, you missed the point or you are twisting. But I was easy "pressed" to point out a couple lies, dam lies, and statistics the talking heads are tasked to disseminate... Again, you missed the point or you are twisting. Also, smoking really does not cause cancer. Just another meme that you don't understand... and haven't really chosen to explore beyond what 'they' told you... Yes, all is well in the UK After all, guns were legally banned. Weapons threat on the rise in UK schools oh wait, near the end of the vid they played the script about how the politicians are getting “ready to sit up and take notice”, so this ‘problem’ should be completely a thing of the past by next semester…

  18. I am way behind in trotting out ( :haha: harmonizing ) examples of specific incidents (counterparts to the examples of the occasional “dummies with guns” examples that categorically prove that no one should be allowed to choose to be armed, etc … ) this following valuable example proves the point that if belgium* had fewer guns (maybe just one fewer gun! ) that this event would have never happened. 22. dark dank dusty cobwebby old thread dark dank dusty cobwebby old thread haven't posted the trades ( on mostly the silver side) in a long time... imo, for something like this, if I don't post every single trade in a very timely fashion - best not to post any at all ... nonetheless ... cleaning up and catching up in one line - this long running campaign is setting up for some heavier allocations. incrementing short entry stops up under Dow side ... ... see SI side falling off the ledge more ? 24. Read at your own risk SunTwister, re "math" dang you're right. 2013 - 1625 does = 200 + while we'd hope this "trend" does go on 'forever', some of us would also have to be realistic and see the possibility that it might gradually, or even suddenly, reverse... and some of us would also have to be realistic and see the possibility that its continuation or reversal might not be caused by guns at all - like you and the completely in the tank to Disarm media 'corporations' try to keep telling us to believe... SunNoPoint The random Jackson Browne quote from a libber with a history of domestic abuse was not one of the points at all... The two points were made before the quote... you missed them (again). sht, bud, I'd put my record of 'making' points up against your record of 'missing' them anyday. :rofl: Just for you, I'll make another one - in bold this time . You're either 'twisting' points or you are 'missing' points Example: when I added more to the very incomplete list of multiple variables (that all far outshine gun control as factors, btw) that contributed to the cultural changes in NYC you reply with "So now it is .... well violent crime is down but white collar crime isn't." as if I'm making an exclusive, one item assertion about "crime" or causation. For what? You're either 'twisting' points or you are 'missing' points __________________ "Don't seek truth. ..."
