  2. You and only you should stay short Gold... long USD https://srsroccoreport.com/death-of-paper-gold-silver-the-data-proves-it/ couldn't resist Happy New Year ALL zdo
  3. Are you sure there are 'secrets' ( things "Super Traders Don’t Want You to Know ") in this book?
  4. nobita, Welcome. Are you new owner of the site ? If so... Wishing you enjoyment and prosperity here... PS Happy Holidays to All later... zdo
  5. Neeko, (Not going to disrespect your “unless you know a trader in Arizona that can help me or are a trader in Arizona.” request over in your other thread - but I am mighty tempted to refer you to Woody and his AZ stick family  ) anyways ... One man’s 'scalp' is half of another man’s morning... etc etc ... robust inventory control can be confused with scalping. ... so > Please let us know what you mean by “scalping”. Are you already decent at ( your definition of ) scalping? I advise traders to discover and develop their natural niche(s) in trading before engaging in “trading training” - because in trading, you need to be able to rely on your innate tendencies and idiosyncratic abilities as much as on technique(s). To hone your skills, your actions must be extensions of your natural capabilities. and fwiw, I also advise traders not to even consider a real “trading mentor” until they are consistently profitable. Contrary to what tommyho said above they are NOT "all inclusive" mish mashed together. Maybe he was only trained and thought he was getting coaching and mentoring too. Or he may have been blessed, a one in a million, with his developmental support - and now concludes everyone can be a one in a million just like him... smart people seem to particularly susceptible to this fallacy... Paraphrasing Einstein = implied in 'keep it simple' is that 'it' must also to be as complex as necessary ... ya'll have a great weekend zdo
  6. (...except for a bunch of zdo’s stoopid posts,) This is a dollar thread - so Of Two Minds - Money Velocity Is Crashing--Here's Why and http://atimes.com/2015/12/what-if-economists-applied-their-own-theories-to-themselves-part-i/
  7. RIP Mark [ he aways did favor the mind and ignore the body]
  8. What happened last time oil was sub 38? GOR Oil, Gold, & The Reflation-Deflation Battle | Zero Hedge have a great weekend all
  9. Neeko, I think Mark Douglas still lives in AR. He is no longer actively teaching but he may be willing and able to help you network locally. hth
  10. When you go through any profile of a ‘great’ trader, make notes of where you and he diverge. One place to run such an exercise is at Almost every time I’ve suggested this exercise, traders come back at me thinking I was saying they should be modeling the other trader - doing it like he does, etc. Nope. The purpose is to discover your own blind spots - things you have not even considered - not to discover where he or she is doing ‘it’ right and you’re doing ‘it’ wrong. Btw - if you don’t think you have any blind spots then don’t bother with the exercises.
  11. freak, That is the best Forex article ever published on TL. Thanks a lot. actually neither gold nor btc are investment vehicles... as trades bitcoin is easier... btc is essentially a digital bearer bond. over the next few years - btc has more upside potential in terms of USD - and also way more downside potential ie btc offers a better variance trading opportunity... gold offers a better safety opportunity. jmo
  12. Neeko, As an exercise maybe define (for yourself) what each of the following are: Trading Therapy Trading Training Trading Coaching Trading Mentoring If you want, post it. ... some discussion possible... zdo PS: chk your PM's
  13. MM, nope. It’s two separate lists Your list: Trading reality Trading healing (learning to forget about the trading fantasy) is on top My list: Trading Therapy Trading Training Trading Coaching Trading Mentoring is what traders can do when they can’t pull off your list on their own... when they turn to others for help... and MM I'm hatin on your fkn list :helloooo: surprised? Here's why --- I would never advise anyone to give up ( forget ) the trading 'fantasy'. The vision is central. ... extremely valuable when refined. Btw - and refining it does not mean adjusting it to reality! It's the other way around. It's consistently working directly in and on the discrepancies btwn the vision and accurate assessment of current realities... but that brings discomforts that most end up trying to avoid... they end up relieved...in a rusting 'inner' car lot... Ya'll have a great weekend. zdo
  14. Rumor https://medium.com/@predata/the-internet-told-us-russia-would-violate-nato-territory-last-week-ed0da4ff6cce#.vhs615e6x
  15. Tallinex, that’s a pretty good ‘hook’ for your golden C ... ( but what the fk does this have to do with trading sikology?) 
  16. Thank you, MM and JP. There is deep wisdom in your dis(en)couragements. But let’s also honor the fire within that is still burning after 8 years... and his concomitant commitment. We could generalize about typical 2 yrs of ‘fire’ and’ if you haven’t’ by 5 years, etc . etc. but each of us is a sample of one... All traders near the big distribution’s ‘mean’ are losers! Passing the cusp into ‘surviving’ is mult. std.dev’s away... Passing the cusp into ‘thriving’ is way tail ... NOT normal ! Likely the OP is gone now so the following is for the general audience --- Developing traders need to differentiate for themselves the differences btwn Trading Therapy Trading Training Trading Coaching Trading Mentoring Don't lump mush them all together or confuse (or try to substitute) one for the other(s) Developing traders need to differentiate for themselves what their specific needs are for each of those... .,. will find some time to discuss this further if requested. all the best zdo PS engulf says "Sometime we just walk into the help we need. " another way of saying same = "When the student is ready the teacher will appear."
  17. lisaanwood, Playing reversions is fine with indexes, etc. but... With fx, wouldn’t it be more helpful to start a thread on ' mean excursions ’ ?
  18. Is DBP in Phoenix? Maybe PM him. hth
  19. Yes, all widely held /( 'thick' ) instruments are subject to the same 'social' patterns... "predict" ? Btw1 ----- If you are really going to immerse in EW, don’t skip the works of Neely... Btw2 ----- There are no EW patterns - and especially the ‘poorly behaving’ EW’s - that cannot be (better) understood via Summation of Cycles... (a little bit) more before (and after) http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/technical-analysis/12066-do-you-use-elliott-wave-trade-6.html#post161926 have a good one...
  20. Re “multiyear” Has anyone checked a gold/euro chart lately - example at Gold - Currency Charts Doesn’t matter? How bout a gold/real chart ? like at Gold - Currency Charts re “coupled”, ~ three weeks ago, base metals topped at about the same time as gold and silver. Copper is now down about 9%, lead ~12%, tin by 12% and zinc by ~16%. .. with gold down ~10% ... Current paradigms, however subtle, assert that it would be very difficult to decouple PM’s from the other commodity metals... I disagree. I liken the strength of these (“‘recessionary”) coupling to the strength of using a rope rated at 500 lbs to couple railroad cars... it will actually work... until there is a jerk Of Two Minds - Is This How the Next Global Financial Meltdown Will Unfold? (btw, congratulations on “multiyear” sunny... I know that’s meant a lot to you.)
  21. Parsifal MUST search! On a more practical level, that is the ‘elementary school’ of trading When I look back on elementary school it seems like a waste of time... however, if nothing else, the three R’s were mastered. ...and even the most gifted among us do better with the three R’s under their belt. A trader cannot differentiate, discriminate, ...and assimilate, utilize, enhance trading methods he or she has never been exposed to... In my view, the ‘voice of trading’ actively discourages the search... with incessant promises that there is ‘nothing to be found’ ... certainly no ‘grail’ . That is a form of mind control that pretends depth doesn’t exist. Jon Rappoport calls it “the thinning of context” ... "Speed hides need. Nothing is as easy as it looks, when it’s done quickly; nor as difficult as it feels, when it’s done slowly. If you can’t perform it slowly enough, you haven’t developed it well enough. Slow makes smooth; smooth makes fast. Let speed come from skill, not as a substitute for it." Scott Sonnon Parsifal MUST search! Parsifal comes to a natural and adaptive end to the search... he needed it ... then he outgrows it. "dwell" bitches
  22. Are you Bearish? Please sell more... I’m planning to temporarily lift my PM (over)Hedges for silver next week... many thx
  23. And to all those dollar perma bools out there - Thankfully there are no ‘cartels’ involved in this campaign. we now interrupt... :haha: btw if you bozos are still using tin for your headc instead of Ksilver32# you are ‘missing up’. if you are using neither, then you are really fkt
