Sorry capt bob about your bad week. I was shorting and covering...shorting and covering..longing and selling...longing and selling..the ES all this week when i had time and wasn't feeling puny.... It was a good week.. Profit on both sides..coming and going... PS GOLD IS BULLISH AND THE ES IS THE MOST BEARISH IT HAS BEEN THIS YEAR.

i l know of a guy that was profitable using a pendulum. It went left he sold..right he bought or vice/versa..don't remember.. Now what might be interesting too is to run the same experiment but use the collective knowledge and experience..skills of the group. Let the group analize and vote on short or long and majority wins for the play ....each day. I know in memory test group memory it much stronger and detailed than individual memory.

Capt Bob you might want to switch to barchart dot com as bigchart volume on gold is off for present contract...(at least according to barchart and my platform). a down bar..narrow range..that closes midrange to high on less volume than previous two bars is a bullish sign...short term...that is what happened on 7-30 for gold..therefore 7-31 should go up.... enough for short term profits however, i understand you don't do the ATM strategy as you like bigger moves... capt Bob i travel..trade from many places...at present i am in the central time zone of the USA. Who knows where i will be next week? I have no ex ...my wife rides with me...very few troubles and worries in life...i don't have same ambitions as normal people..but i do like trading..the perfect mobile business..my wife has her own mobile business too..she thinks i am quite crazy sometimes...that is nothing new....sometimes i put down roots for a few months....she likes gardening..i like fishing...have many friends in many places but cannot stay around any for very long...i am not a people person...i like much private time...to figure things out...i do not like noise...people are like fish..after 3 days they start stinking pretty good....know what i mean? I could have fixed your charts up for you but apparently you did not believe me....that too is nothing new...most don't.... Gold has gone up about 13 0n 7-31 since close on 7-30....i told you so....no one listens....it will probally go on up more on 7-31 before close.

So you are saying you post the chart after the trade is done...roundtrip..? And when you enter it is at the time of your post that states the entry price..tp and sl? If all this is correct then could you not indicate on the chart afterwards where you entered and exited and put prices and time scale scale on the chart.. When i look at your chart i have no idea when you entered and when you exited (except your post stating that) but nothing visual..at least for me...but i can be denser than a knot on a log..so for us slow traders...could you....make some modifications? . See my attached file for some sort of example as to what i am referring. I made this call via a post BEFORE THE PRICE ACTION TOOK PLACE like you do (if i understand correctly) but then afterwards show the chart indicating clearly the entry and the exit for others to see. And it has price scale and time scale for anyone to look it over... I'll take that beer but it has to be very cold...don't send any to capt bob as we don't want any interference with his gold trading..:rofl: I could have superimposed capt bobs charts for him but he never sent them to me..i guess he figured i was too old and fossilized for such tricks..but i use an IPAD which makes it quite elementary for such endeavours. I trade off a laptop (windows) using my IPad as a hot spot for the net so i may be old but i am riding the technology wave and can do the super imposing on either machine..... Its charts i can't figure out....people must be very clear on their charts or they leave me behind an i begin to feel old and useless....

Not sure what day you are refering to when you say yesterday. 7-29 or friday 7-26? But if it closes in middle of range or on high today 7-30 then it is bullish in short term senario. Longterm remains quite bullish regardless of detracters.

I cannot tell your entry and exits on the chart..you state such and such but i don't see where you identify them. Could you indicate at what point you actually make your entry and at the same time indicate where your stoploss and PT will be at so we can see it unfold. I can't tell if your entries and exits are in the middle or at right edge of chart. Too many lines for my pea brain..

I will have to give that diagram some really deep serious thought..it may be beyond my intellectual abilities...mits..well it is right down his alley along with LS triple T. not sure cap Bob can get off the moon in time to take a look at it. However he may have something to add as he is a bit of a gann fan himself... If i can get up the mental energy to think this deep i may give it a shot..but at the moment i am mentally drained with my famous ES trade and all....but i am known for popping back at the least expected moment just when all thought i was finished for sure....the drama...i just love it... I will see what my little brain can see in the diagram..
